sunset cliffs, california, is a fictional town based on community of oceanside, califorina. for more information on the city of oceanside see here for more information on the town of sunset cliffs, see here. the community is set in a world where the supernatural and mundane have always coexisted in secrecy. we're taking most of our mythos from the hbo show true blood, as well as old school horror films and television shows. we are aiming to be a community which focuses on character development and an overarching plot which we hope will include every character. our first plot will revolve around a series of murders, one which looks suspiciously like a vampire is the culprit. this will lead us into our next, and main, plot. below is a timeline of strange events that have occured in the community of sunset cliffs. keep in mind you may add your own, just send us the information here.

• 1995 a woman is discovered with fang marks in her neck and all of her blood drained. the case goes cold after a month with no suspects or leads on how she was murdered this way. cult activity suspected.
  
• 1996 a large wolf like creature is reportedly seen on the nights of a full moon. it's joked that there is a wolfman .
  
• 1997 a dismembered body is found in the local cemetery, and it is suspected to be the work of a cult or a serial killer. satanic paraphenelia is also found at the scene of the crime.
  
• 1998 a man reportedly catches on fire when stepping out into the sun. the body is identified as darrel hewes, his family report that he had died recently. the whole town is shocked and confused as to how this could have happened.
  
• 2002 a shotty picture of merfolk is taken by an ameteur photographer and goes viral online. it's brushed off as just a hoax.
  
• 2001 a new family moves into the old mansion at the end of chestnut street. evreything is fine for the first month, but then they begin to see shadows, report that things are moving on their own, hearing foot steps and voices, seeing odd things from the corner of their eye. the husband mysterials murders the entire family, claiming that the spirits made him do it. he's arrested and sent to a mental hospital where he committs suicide.
  
• 2006 three bodies are discovered mangled on the beach. the police end up arresting a transient and no further investigation is needed. however, the transient has always argued his innocence and has babbled about the real culprits "drinking the tourists blood."
  
• 2014 a woman is arrested after being found naked on the shoreline, covered in blood, next to a badly mauled dead body.
  
• 2017 the first week of january a body is discovered strung up from the pier, the body completely drained of it's blood. there are several marks on their body, but the main injury appears to be from two marks on their neck. another body was discovered the first week of feburary with the exact same injuries, this one was hanging from a streetlight on the boardwalk. the area where the body was found is still cornered off as the invesitgation is on-going.
